I pulled the spark plugs out of the 2.4L last weekend. The gapping instructions are for .060....I think they are the original plugs (AC Delco) and they gapped at .050. Was the owner's manual wrong in the gap? Also, they were worn, but still look good. Any ideas? I just gapped them to .060. Is that gap correct?

Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
anywhere between .05 and .06 will be correct and work. ive bought plugs before that are supposed to be GM plugs gapped at .06, and i check them and they are .05 or .055, and i put them in and they work just fine.

Gaps have a range. So from .50 - .60 only because over time the electrode wears down and the gap changes. This is normal. By giving that range of gap it allows for wear on the plugs.
If they pulled out at .50... put 'em back in at .50... Especially if your max is .60.
I wouldn't want you to run into an issue of too much gap and the car misfiring because of weak spark.
I mean it's not a major issue but your CEL of course would come on and the code would read Misfire Detect CYL #.
In that case. Pop it out and re-gap the sombitch.
