Ok i need spark plugs for my 2.4L Cavy, but the Delcos are very expensive around here in Canada. The cheapest deal I could find for Delcos was 56$ for all 4, the highest was 70$ for all 4. Napa, Carquest, GM,and other independent parts stores sell them and this city has 95% GM cars on the road.
I phoned partsource (Canadian Tire parts store) and the guy says he has NGK Platinums for 6.79$ for 2, thats $15.61 for all 4 with taxes. Good deal compared to the delcos.
Is there a difference between the NGKs or Delcos? I read on here that NGKs are more for boosted/nitrous cars but my car isn't boosted or Nitroused (is that a word?
) so thats why i'm concerned.
For those with NGKs is there any advantages,ex. increase in fuel economy?

apparently I hear GM uses NGK if they run out of AC Delcos in the factories (ex. strikes, problems). I also found out NGK makes most of the delco plugs, if its made by NGK it'll say AC Delco on the porcelain and it'll say NGK Made in Japan on the metal part. So if thats the case there is no difference except the cost.
NGK, is the only brand outside of delcos, that if you read these boards will be recommended. not sure about the platinums, but am sure about the iriduims. there so good that i had my spaced off by about 30% and there worked good. I thought it was them making my car run rough, but turned out, it was stupid citgo gas with my gm injectors over the winter blen in milwaukee. argh.
i'm gonna take a look at Napa, i will compare the NGK platinums with the stock delcos, see how that works out. I called Napa and he was saying that indeed NGK makes plugs for AC Delco (most of them actually).
ACDelco's truly are the best.

yes i agree but if NGK makes them it doesn't make sense for me to buy almost quadruple the amount.
I have platinum 4 and there great.
i won't buy bosch thats for sure, I'm trying to strike a deal on ebay for some delcos!!!!!!!
Just wanting to know why bosch is so bad. just put them in my fire and everything runs great.
