Is an ECM (electronic control mod.) the same as the BCM?
No the BCM is a different computer. It controls things like power windows while the ecm controls things like spark timing and emissions stuff.

where can you get a different ECm for a 2002 2.4 auto at?
Either the dealer which will probably cost you close to a grand or a junk yard.
