I have noticed for a couple days I was spelling a faint hint of antifreeze coming out the vents when I was running my A/C. Any ideas what it might be? I didn't smell it at all today. It's an '04 cavy with 17K miles

if your smelling coolant inside the car , that usually means the heater core is leaking

What's weird though is when I went to heat I didn't smell it at all, now the smell is gone...how do I convince the dealer to look at the heater core without actually smelling it themselves?

just tell them to look at it. say i have a problem and i think its coming from here.

yeah take it in , under warrenty you do not get charged

although its best to take it in during the time it smells , make notes of when you smell it , it will help the tech that will be looking at it


also if you were driving and had the a/c on , and not on the recirculate mode , it coulda been from outside , and someone elses car over heating
