I sort of have a weird horn problem. I have a remote keyless entry for my car. Usually when I lock the car door via the keyless, the horn would beep like it was a healthy horn. Now, it has started to beep like something is plugging it. Now here is the weird part. If I beep the horn via the steering wheel and not the keyless, the horn sounds like normal. I can actually go back and forth repeatedly and make both versions of the horn sound. I can't find any difference in what could be causing the two sounds. I will assume that the signal from the keyless (a wireless signal) is received by a computer or other such device that then sends the current to activate the horn. While via the steering wheel, the current feeds to the horn by a different route. I still need to verify this theory though.
Any suggestions on what the problem is and how to fix it?
Thanks

The wire(s) from your remote receiver in your car to the horn may be faulty so it's not getting a full 12v so the horn sounds weak.
Just my idea.
