geeez hottest day look wat happens.... coolantprob

I came home fro work today and my dad about an hour later noticed coolant leaking on the ground....... looks like its coming from the BOX above the compressor for AC..... my dad seems to think its awater pump or a water pump gasket? any ideas?

passenger side, behind the wheel? if so its the water pump. its leakin' from the weep hole.

like is the weep hole a part of the water pump?

if its a 2.2 non eco then it is almost as easy as changing the alt. I did mine this weekend and it took me about an hour and a half to do it all. if its an eco then it will be quite harder. and yes the weep hole is a little hole on the side or top or your water pump. if your leaking thourgh there then the pump is done.

Im not to sure but old coolant and electrolysis as well as seals going bad may make it go bad. i dont think it has much to do with the heat since our cars opperate at the same heat even in winter.

Did mine about a week after i bought my car and it took me about 30 minutes. I have the 2200 so it was right up front under the alternator. Easy job and i got the new pump for $18 with a lifetime warranty, SCORE. Its really easy to do so do it yourself.
