Ok so last weekend I changed my Pads and turned my rotors. Every since then I have been hearing a kinda rubbing sound when I press the brakes to stop. I thought it was the roughness of the rotor rubbing on the new pads, figured they needed to grind down and smooth out. Well its been about 3 days now and still doing it. Anybody have any suggestions to what this might be?
Also when i pump the brakes when stopped, i hear this sound. Kinda of sounds like when you are pumping air into a tire with the foot pumps (kind used for pumping up a bike tire).
Extra Info:
I bled the brakes from the lil release valve as i was compressing the piston with a c-clamp. I also sprayed down everything with brake cleaner when i was done and put the lube stuff on the back of the pads where they contacted the caliper. I used DURALAST
SEMI-METALLIC pads also.
If you changed the pads, why did you bleed the brakes? Did you have to remove the caliper from the brake line? The only way air would get into your system from a brake job is if you removed hardware from a line. Also, are you low on fluid?

Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
I think you may have sucked in some air though your bleeder valve when opened it.
I would flush the whole system (it doesn't take that long to do). The valvoline syntec brake fluid is really good stuff for the price.
Well you need to blead the brakes as you compress the piston if you have ABS. I wasnt sure if i had ABS so i just did it just incase.
And, yes im full as far as brake fluid.
So, it makes more of a grinding sound when stopping not a rubbing.
It sounds like your ABS is going off. If you get air trapped in the lines it can make your ABS go crazy.
Just because your full on brake fluid doesn't mean you should flush it.
I usually don't open the bleeder when I compress my calipers. Its not going to damage your ABS, it just pushes the nasty fluid up to mix with cleaner fluid.
Ill try bleeding them this weekend. But i dotn think its Air because if there was air in the lines it would kinda hesitate and jerk when i brake because of the air. But ill try that... Might try different pads also..
