imitation Delco plugs?

Ok I have been looking for a great deal on some delco plugs for my Cavalier, 41-963 Platinums. Over here in Canada at the GM dealer they cost $12.42 US each, with discount they cost $9.14 US. The cheapest place I could find them locally was NAPA they sell them for 9$ US piece.

So seeing these prices still are pretty high I decided to go search on ebay for a deal, I found them selling for 5$each+10$ shipping = 30$ US. But I found another place in Indiana that sells them for 3$each+8 shipping=20$ US, I have read the persons feedback page and they appear to be honest,

Should be weary of imitations with this much of a price difference?

I am wondering the same thing. Could these be fake AC Delcos. If they are real I will pick up a set from him.

are you talking about these ones?

Becuase I found the other ones (profile that I posted) from a store in Indiana, she e-mailed me back saying they were gonna cost 3$ a piece. I have read all the comments and almost all of them say good things, nothing about counterfeits, I'm sure someone would say something if they were counterfeits.

they are gonna cost me 20$ US not 30$ US from a place in Indiana, I'm just using that auction to compare the prices,

I checked on GMpartsdirect the price for 3$ does sound believable since on GMpartsdirect one plug costs $4.44. I'm gonna phone and ask how their prices are so cheap.

well i put in my order for 4 AC Delcos 41-963 from this store in Indiana, they are gonna cost me 20$ US in total with shipping. I'm gonna give u guys an update when I get them. He said his prices are so cheap because he buys thousands of parts and I'm sure if he would be selling counterfeits someone from the FBI would pay him a visit. Its a parts store and speed shop thats what he said.

OK heres all the info:

economy auto parts
phone# 812-752-420
934 s. gardner st
Scottsburg, Indiana

Give them a call on Monday, Tuesday, or Friday (theres a chance she might be there), this is because they have lady by the name of Tammy who takes care of ebay/delivery orders. The profile link that I posted is their ebay account feedback page as you can see no counterfeit mentioning in the feedback so its all good.

I'm not quite certain if you know this and hope I don't step on any toes with this information but we (NGK) have made all of AC-DELCO's plugs for a number of years.

The 41-963 is our PTR5C-13 built to a much lesser quality and sold for significantly more.

We currently supply 90% of all OE plugs including all AC DELCO, some OE VW BOSCH, the majority of MOTORCRAFT and many others.

You'll find that the PTR5C-13 will last longer and cost less than their AC DELCO counterparts.

Good Luck!

The irridium Delcos are made by NGK and the Platinums are actually made by Delco. I'm not sure what you are talking about the 41-963's made by NGK. There is no NGK stamp (made in Japan) on the Delco platinum as there is on the irridium Delcos. I choose Delco because thats what the factory recommends and most people on this board will agree that Delcos are made specifically for GM's. I also checked out the NGK platinum series at crappy tire they don't even look the same as the delcos.
