i'm slowly finishing my engine swap and noticed the a/c line rubs the drive-belt. heres my question..... should the belt go from the a/c pump straight to the alternator or should it go from the pump to the pulley and then to the alternator? btw its a 2.2
Theres usually a drive belt routing diagram attached to the hood, or possibly one of the strut towers???
If the pulley has ribs on it, make sure the inside of the belt goes to that- if the pulley is smooth, then the outside of the belt will use that one...

its a 2.2. i didnt have the hood on to or even think to look at it however the sticker shows that i do have the belt on wrong, but when i put it on correctly the belt is way too long. today i bought a shorter on but its also too long. what do u think?
the only way the belt will fit is if i go around 3 in-between 4 and 5. i dont know what the deal is
