I just installed my cat back exhaust with a header. All o2 sensors are in, and that's what i thought it would be, but i dont think it is. I had my neighbor who is a mechanic scan to see what the code of the CEL was throwing, but it wasn't even coming up. Would a blown fuse do this, or something else?
The car has to be running for the scanner to work at least thats what happens with my 2001 Cavalier, I had it scanned twice once without the engine running didn't work, and after with the engine running and it worked.
The code you are prolly getting is a P1133 for a slow switching front O2 sensor. At least that's what mine has been setting since I got my header over a year ago. I have heard that the bung that the sensor plugs into may need to be shaved down because the sensor itself isn't far enough into the exhaust stream to be able to get an accurate enough reading. Let us know what your code is so we can help you out a little more.
