also

What belt for a 3rd Gen J-Body running a 2.2 OHV, no A/c, no delete pulley?

anyone able to help us? or are we going to have to do it trial and error style by getting some belts and seeting what works by estimating the length?

I know this thread is old but I couldn't find anything about what belt to use for the 2.4

I want to bypass my a/c cause it's making that awful noise and I'd really like to know what belt I need to get to do it

thanks...

the belt part # that i have saved is: 345K5

That is the part # suncavi gave a while back for it, and i still have yet to do this to my car, so can someone verify that belt #, i would hate for it to be the wrong one.

Goal is to make my N/A Auto faster then a manual without doing engine internals

Just go in and ask for a 33inch belt...

I believe thats what size it is....and make sure you go around the idler pulley.

Ok I'm bringing this back,I have tried numerous belts after taking out the a/c in my 2.4,I was running a 350k5 with the tensioner pulley, started squealing here and there,I removed the tensioner and ran the 345k5,had to loosen the top two alt. bolts to get the belt on and tightened everything back down, started the car up and it started squealing and smoking.Shut the car off and loosened the two alt. bolts a little,it gave the belt a little slack and car ran fine at idle but squealed loudly when I gave it gas.So do you think the bearings in the alt. are going or just the belt being too tight??Anyone have a quick link to buy the a/c delete pulley?

I ran a 350K5 for a while, and ended up just using my delete pulley since I could never get the belt to no squeal after a few months.
