Hey everyone, the new headers from DC Sports are now avaliable. They are a 4-2-1 design, 1 piece. They are ceramic coated also. We have them listed right now for only $339.99. They are actually a bit cheaper than the ecotec 4-1 manifold replacement header.
Just thought we would pass on this new product being released.

the header isnt 1 piece , lol
its a 2 piece header
if you look for my post about it youll find the pics of the header on my 97
if they didnt change anything it fit the 96-02 2.4 , and you have to reuse the stock gasket at the head , which will allow the 96-98 to have the egr port open , and the 99-02 will have the port covered up

Thanks for that info Eric. We just were able to put in the order and that is what they told us. I did notice that it did look like a 4-2-1 2 piece in the test pictures.

yeah sometimes you gotta love the miss informed people , LOL
and you can either use the cat eliminator pipe , or the supplied flange to use your cat
i still havent gotten the pipe sizes , except for the cat eliminator pipe , which is 2"
and BEFORE SOME ONE BITCHES ABOUT THE SIZE read on
they tested the 2" and 2 1/4" , and the motor made more power over a wider range with the 2" then it did with the 2 1/4" pipe , and that was with a 2 1/4" cat back on the car
Sweet, that is great news!!!
Test pipe size doesn't matter to me, as long as it is at least 2.25" before the test pipe. My cat and test pipe 3" to match the catback

Remember....syringes go in the RED waste basket.
2" eh?
Interesting,
Wasn't the Borla setup running at 2" also.
hmm, gonna have to test it out.

Unless they DID decide to go the Ecotec route and make it a 4-1.
Or maybe they thought you were refering to the Ecotec engine.
Let us know when you get your shippment if there wasn't a mix up.

From the picture, it looks like it has a bung for the o2 sen., but if the o2 sen. is after the cat on the original manifold and down pipe, wont the computer read wrong codes and turn the check engine light on?
there is 2 o2 fittings 1 in the header
and 1 in the cat eliminator pipe

Yes, this is true. This way you dont have to worry about what to do with the 2nd O2 sensor

Still wonder about the specs of the set up.
Question about their technique for merging the runners. From 4-2
Why would they combine weld them together like that.
Anyone adverse in fluid dynamics or something maybe can shed some light on the subject.

ive seen alot of headers with the pipes that merge like that
its a smoother transistion than having to hit a wall with a 45degree angle if you know what i mean
plus you can get the size of the y to match the hole you want at the flange
cool.

Does that mean that it gets rid of the cat all together?
Rolando Flores Jr. wrote:Does that mean that it gets rid of the cat all together?
YES , unless you leave out the straight pipe
and use the flange they supply to keep the cat
Has anyone received their DC header yet?? I would like to know the size of the primaries and secondaries before I order
Thanks
