Afpr question-Aeromotive fit
Wednesday, August 08, 2007 6:11 PM

This is the Aeromotive afpr I'm looking to purchase.
I'm replacing the Accel afpr which is giving me some problems with the long term storage of my Cavy.
This is the Aeromotive model 13106 afpr which fits the LT1 Vettes.
It's near if not exactly identical to the stock fpr that fits onto our 2.4 fuel rails.
My only uncertainty is that with the size of the Aeromotive unit, if it will fit onto the factory fuel rail, and not hit the timing chain housing.
I do plan on getting either the Venom or AEM fuel rail to replace the stock unit down the road.
But for now, I need something besides stock (as a replacement for the Accel) so that I can keep things in the state of tune I already have.
Opinions please whether this will work.

I guess nobody knows.
Seems unlikely but seems to be the case.
I'll make it work and continue on with the Cav.
Thanks for the help.

It works on the Ecotec....I know that. Doesn't help you much though LOL.

the LT1 fprs , 1 fits the eco , and the other fits the 2.4

i dont remember which is which , but the aero was close to the timing cover on a 2.4

That's what I was afraid of.
I'll just hit the junkyard, get a stock one off of a 2.4 to get the car going again, and start setting up my braided fuel lines I've always wanted.
Then I can add whatever afpr I want.
Thanks all.

sorry to raise the dead, but........

I have 2.2 eco, do i need part # 13106 or #13107 ?

the 13106 is supposed to fit 92-96 LT1

the 13107 is supposed to fit 94-97 LT1

I'm only getting a FPR because i want to run a 50 dry shot this summer,. and i have read that the Aeromotive is a direct fit.

For the Ecotec use the F-body one. Corvette unit does not fit. I have done this, and can vouch for it being a direct bolt on.

I know the afpr that fits the camaro will fit the ld9 I think its the 94-97. The eco and ld9 might use the same one I dont know for sure.

so... been doing some research in this department the past few days...

first off, it seems that aeromotive used to make this same part number but had a completely different design a few years back.

seen here:

it has since been discontinued, unfortunately and replaced with this. and now it does not fit, as said...

now... holley has one that may fit, but i need the dimensions on the NEW style aeromotive for comparison. havent been able to locate any. the holley one is:

Shipping Dimensions
L 3.500 in. x W 2.500 in. x H 3.500 in.
Weight 0.450 lb.

seen here :

if anyone has pics of their aeromotive i would like to see them in here...

thanks guys.

Nice find man. I like that. But I wonder if that was 1:1 ratio for boost.

Yep. My AEM FPR is also 1:1 under boost. If there is no boost then it acts like a regular adjustable FPR

That old style is tiny compared to the new one!

Brad, do you need pics of the aermotive I modded to fit the factory location?

Hah, thought I had more of it on the car but I guess not. Luke(dragracemyz24) originally modded it to work with widening the fuel rail bolt holes a bit, but I just ground the side down a bit more to clear the timing cover. I just had problems sealing the o-ring and didnt wana mess with it anymore soo he just got it back from me.
