Aeroforce Interceptor gauge

Well not sure if this is the right place to put this topic, but since this gauge can read parameters and performance i thought i would put it here...

Anyway, i was wondering if anyone else here is running with this gauge?

I use to run it on my old SRT-4. Gauges are great quality and they rock since you can monitor tons of engine parimeters.

Yea i just got mine and installed it today... I would have to say i like it alot. Very good quality.

Did u ever use the performance part of it where it moniters ur 1/8, 1/4 mile times etc? I was just curious on how accurate it would be!

I've got one. I love the DTC read/clear function. I normally monitor my ignition advance and knock retard.

I am actually sitting here right now trying to think of what else I could possibly need.

feul pressure and bottle pressure, but thats only if I am spraying and I'm not.

if you get the 2 gauge set, that covers ALOT in one glance

Can that function as a wideband? If it does..... I just found my 3rd a-piller gauge.

As for the 1/4 mile time thing... if it really does have an accelerometer in it..... the 1/4 mile times in things like that are usually pretty accurate... but the trap speeds can be off a little.

google it

you can also plug in other sensors so you can even have your egt's covered if you want.

I forsee the double set for myself. even at 400bones for the double that covers everything I would ever need exept for feul pressure. and you might even be able to plug that in in one of its 2 auxillary inputs

so basically it is a scanner, that looks like a gauge. From what i can tell, looks like it has to be plugged into the obd port all the time. Thats bad news for the dataloggers. it is a pretty nice little unit though.

yes it can function as a wideband with certian W/B units!!

I love this gauge... some stuff it doesn't moniter without a sensor but i love it... I have been scaning Knock Retard and missfires!

To me its well worth it!

IT can record parameters and play them back also!

ok gonna bring this back from the dead. just got mine back from having the board quit on me only 2 days after i got it. and well now i seem to have the same problem. gauge worked fine for like 10 minutes. but now it just keeps resetting. turning on and off. im starting to think the ecu is not liking the gauge. cars tuned with the gm reflash for the eco supercharger. just wanna know if im way off base with the ecu killing the gauge. thanks for any help

The gauge just used the class 2 data stream for its info. Might want to check the power and ground at the ALDL connector to be sure it is correct.

I've had mine installed for a year now with no problems. I have the gm supercharger with the gm tune. Might want to recheck your wiring.

Had it hooked to the obd2 port by itself at first and it would shut off by itself after a while. You need to power it using the jumper on the back of the gauge. I have my power wire hooked up to the sunroof fuse with one of those mini add a circuit fuse thingys.

BUMP

Just wondering if anybody has HPtuners along with this gauge? Im just thinking there will be a huge inconvience running the two seeing you have to unplug the gauge to hook up HPtuners.

I want this gauge, but am worried id have to reset the aeroforce everytime I plug it back in after HPtuners. Worth it? yay or nay?

Worth it. It powers off everytime you turn off the car so no special reset required when you plug it back in. I have one somewhere and if I ever rebuild my 02 it will go back in it. Worth it!

Ultra gauge is way better and a quarter of the price. IMO

hmm.. check with james misblu, david. i know he had the aeroforce and did a remote hook up for HPT in his console or something like that. pretty sweet setup, actually.

Remote access for the HPT setup but you've still got to remove the AeroForce gauge for the HPT to do it's thing.
If both are plugged in there's interference from the 'Force gauge with the HPT and keeps the HPT from doing it's job and vice versa.
Generally when I've got the HPT plugged in I remove the 'Force gauge since the laptop tells me pretty much what I need to know.
BUT, the 'Force gauge is indispensable in what it does and how it works when you're not using HPT.
I wouldn't trade it for the world and because it's in a gauge format it's even more usable than the others out there that are cheaper to buy.
The datalogging feature is nice and to be able to see knock in real time and seeing it datalogged helps when you're tuning without hpt.
It also lets you use the short and long term fuel trims which too help in determining your tune without hpt and I've actually used it to do some fuel tuning with the car before I ever had HPT in my hands. Gotta say that it worked out pretty good using the AeroForce gauge.

Worth every penny and good luck with your decision.
