Hey guys I have installed a stans header. It hits the subframe or something and sounds like poop! anyone else have the same issue??

I didn't have any problems with fitment on mine. It just leaks from the collector which I have yet to solve.

Haha that sounds like my problem, but the downpipe Im using isnt the original one from the header. I have the one from the downpipe and it has a hanger on it which I may put on soon.

its hitting the steering rack. i had the same problem wiht my rk header. dou you have the exhaust hanger thats right at the end of the downpipe? your going to need motor mounts also.

there is no mount on the down pipe any body got a picture?

theres technically 2 mounts right after the DP comes past the subframe. 2 rubber hangers are attached and hold up the pipe by means of a solid bar that needs to be welded to your exhaust. Even if you get this done, if you dont get poly mounts, it will still hit the rack when you mash the throttle. I can take pics friday night since im changing my header

I have rk lower, ttr upper and auto trans mount. Mine hits when Im sitting due to the vibes and just like bounces off the subframe cause it sags down and like sits on it. It will be taken care of soon.

I choped mine off before teh flex pipe and made a new DP that look fugly but gets teh job done until I get a much better quality and fitting header for teh car. Mine used to hit the steering gear, even have a pinched line to show for it. Burnt through teh flex pipe as well. High quality product. :sarcasm:
