Pacesetter Header problem
Tuesday, June 10, 2008 6:53 PM
I have had the armour coated header on for almost 2 years now and the bolts are rusted pretty bad. I noticed lately that the car would squeak when I would start it up and sometimes when driving around. I checked the engine bay and noticed the springs that hold the collector to the downpipe were gone. Would this cause the squeak? Do I need to replace the springs and where would I get them from if needed?

Thanks

Best bet would be to call Pacesetter and get some new hardware from them.

yeah its 1 of them freak of nature things

although youd think is the springs broke and fell out , the down pipe woulda dropped enough to make for a rather large exhaust leak

i bet if you hit a big enough bump it would come apart. th rust on the bolts is probably holding it together.
pacesetter would be the best place to get the hardware. no one carries that stuff.

I emailed them and nothing for over 2 weeks. Could any of you take a pic of what the springs look like or give me some dimensions so I can purchase them somewhere else.

Thanks
