1. on the 2200 rail the front ( where the regulator bolts to the rail) is the return correct? or is it in the rear of that rail???
2. for the topfeed conversion you have to make sure that the injector is fully seated in the mani right? about where the harness to the injector is right>>

1) yes. the fitting with the "GM quick connect" on the rail is the return fitting.
2) yes the injectors should be seated snugly or else you'll get manifold leaks/ a car that runs like ass
to verify, yes, the regulator is on the return side of the rail.
And yes, the injectors need to be seated fully and properly.
Towards the rear (Where the trans bolts-up) of the engine on transverse apps (J- & W-body cars) and at the front on longitudial-mount apps (S-trucks).
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
so can you us the 1998 2.2 ohv fuel rail and injetors on the 1997 cavaier
from looking between my car and my dad's car 97 w/ 2.2 and 99 w/ 2200SFI I say no for the fuel rail. not sure about the injectors though.
a lot of people use the 2200 fuel rail with the top feed conversion.
