Need to get a hold of these two small items by next week. It's all my shop needs to complete my engine build on my 2002 LD9 (going into my 2000 Alero):
- balance shaft driven sprocket bolt
- oil pump pick-up screen
He says they're probably a dealer item. I can't find these on GMPartsDirect or RockAuto. I'm going to head to the dealer tomorrow, but they probably won't know anything. Anyone here know? Thanks in advance.

That'd be nice, since I couldn't find them in either the GM 2.4L Engine Overhaul manual or on GMPartsDirect, etc.

If you get them from chris i can ship them with the header. Chris you think we have any of those parts sitting around at brains?
Also, the bolt must be NEW. The screen maybe. I have the screen but for some reason they need it, either they broke it when removing it or I'm pretty sure it's preferred to use a new one.

No Zero, all GM parts are 8 digit numbers. Sorry i couldn't do it today, out computers were down.
The bolt dose not have to be new.

I guess you missed this section of every LD9 Engine Overhaul manual:
2.4L GM Engine Overhaul Manual wrote:Notice
A new balance shaft driven sprocket bolt must be used any time the bolt is removed. If a new bolt is not used, the balance shaft sprocket may slip allowing the balance shafts to become mistimed and cause engine vibration.

Im sure TG has some experience with quads/ld9's lol
I'm sure, but that's what the manuals say. Speed Industry (where the engine's being assembled) knows their @!#$, and never would do anything just because you can get away with it.

Yea, when doing anything build wise its better to replace it specially if its higher mileage. Not always necessary, but theres juat more reassurance.
Ill be watching your build
Seems like theres alot of m45 builds going on right when Im going turbo lol.
