I havnt looked yet for it, so where is the fuel filter located at? Also will i need any special tools to change this filter? also any helpful tips to help me in changing this would be awesome.

In front of the gas tank, tucked up against the body.
Rent the tool to disconnect the filter.
I pulled my fuel pump relay, and started the car. then when it died I knew the fuel pressure was down.

i usually dont bother with bleeding the pressure,

Also, the type of quick disconnect used, is meant for hand removal, remove (probably green) tab (your new filter SHOULD come with a new one....that is probably white), they break easy so be careful.

Push the disconnect towards the filter, squeeze tabs, and pull apart.

Other side is wrenches, I would recomend line wrenches, and soaking them in penetrating oil while you undo the quick disconnect.

the white thing in the box doesn't need to be used as long as the old one is still in good shape thought right?
i did mine last week and threw it out.

It's not alot of fun. The quick connect fitting they are talking about is a black clip on the fuel filter. It's located underneath the charcoal canister in the back of the car. Make sure you have PB Blaster available. Throw out the white plastic thing that comes with the new filter.

Also note it's a quick CONNECT not disconnect. This is a pain in the ass to do but can be done. Here's a write up I just did recently.

You can get away with not reliving the fuel pressure but I don't know why you would. I don't like gasoline spaying everywhere. After you get the rear end raised, start the car and pull the fuel pump fuse. Makes life alot easier. Have fun!
