this. even plus shipping, you'll end up with the same thing you were going to try to make, but for cheaper. and here's a secret: know what you're buying for the $200 kit? a tube, and a filter. thats it. tube +filter. know whats in the ebay special? a tube and a filter.

though you can usually find youself a "kit" on ebay (some of them are charge pipe kits) and they are already polished and aluminum with couplers which makes life easier

use PVC pipe. it works just as good, and has basically unlimited shapes you can make with it. plus, its really cheap. you can pick up a fair ammount of it from construstion site dumpsters for free if your one of those people with sticky fingers lol. just kidding, dont do that. but seriously, pvc is great, plus, most of it is thick enough for all sensor to be tapped in and you can use an oil breather filter.
may not look great, but damn it feels good to be a gangsta, and gangstas use pvc intakes lol

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.
save yourself the trouble .. go to your local parts store... grab a civic intake and a K&n filter..

Thanks peeps I'll be buying a intake from ebay soon now I got a stupid question I prefer to get a short ram most on there are CAI,the ones that are a SAI don't look like they will fit anyways to my question well I live in Florida and it rains alot if I have a CAI will it suck any water if I go over puddles???
Ummm cowabunga!!!
MadJack wrote:If your driving in puddles that deep, you've got more problems than sucking in water! (Pick up your feet!)
The filter will sit at about the same hight as the corner marker, your not in a 4X4/ swamp buggy (though, stock they look that tall) you shouldn't be driving into water that deep. If you leave the fender liners in place you won't get very much water splashed in there either.
Ok and I don't drive into very deep puddles so im ok thanks for the advice

Yeah, you will be fine as long as you don't drive through water that's real deep, but if you want to be 100% safe you can always install a
bypass filter.
