I dont post much anymore and just focus on buying blown up cars and fixing them. I came across this 03 LS Sport Coupe which was blown up and I de hacked it to be back to stock. However it did have a few cool pieces, it had on it a 2.4L Ecotec intake manifold on it with an adapter plate so you could use the stock 2.2L throttle body bolt pattern. I havent seen this before and ecos are new to me just wondering if there are benefits to this and if it is desired. Here is the ebay listing, I am not advertising just wondering if this is a worth while swap?

old news, its been out for a while. I got the kit (sold by crateenginedepot) over a year ago for the skwirl.. which also lead to me blowing the #3 ringland (lack of tuning FTL) my fault though, thats what I get for rushing.

the kit is $250 for everything including the manifold, tbody adapter, new o-rings, and some vacuum hose.
Was the vaccum hose the one that goes to the valve cover? If so maybe I should throw that in the listing because its still on the car. Wow i didnt think it was that much.

I'm sure its better than the stock mani for boost just because of the larger plenum. On n/a builds, it opens up the high rpm range quite nicely, as seen on the crateenginedepot.com website's dyno graph. It is enough for you to have to upgrade your stock injecors and tune, that is for sure!
the 2,4 eco manifold works GREATon a boosted 2.2eco!!! as far as i know, i'm the only one thats done it on a boosted J-body, and I posted a thread review my installation, and installing it and detailing how i thought it performed. Pj posted one up as well, they should both be a few pages back.
Currently #4 in Ecotec Forced Induction horsepower ratings. 505.8 WHP 414WTQ!!!
Currently 3rd quickest Ecotec on the .org - 10.949 @ 131.50 MPH!!!

I am currently running a 2.4 eco manifold on my turbo L61 and it is WAY stronger than the stock manifold.... i threw 255whp on 5.5lbs and held the torque to redline.... The stock intake manifold sucks!!! my friend had 208whp on 7psi and torque and hp just fell off after 5200rpm...

theres another auction for one of these on ebay now and wondered about this. so swapping the stock 2.2 Eco intake witht eh 2.4 Eco intake WILL boost ur HP , but u have to have it tuned so u dont toast the motor ? if i did do this swap would ot be better to use the 2.4 TB as well ??? what bout the 2.4Eco ehaust mani. is there maybe any gain with swaping that or just save and get a Header system ?
