It's the big freaking bolt above the water pump near the exhaust manifold. Its freaking huge. I removed it to get some tension and the freaking thing exploded when I tried to put it back. Parts went everywhere. I know I'm missing at least one.
Is there a pic out there showing how the bolt I supposed to go together? It sounds retarded. But it's 6? pieces.
Then somebody tell me why the hell it's an overly complicated bolt!

why the hell did you touch it.. to get tension on what?
If you need one, I have a few spares lying around.
I'm getting you a diagram now.
I love you. I needed to alleviate the tension on my timing chain so I had enough timing chain to wrap around my cam gears.
By the way, cams are a bitch.

u shoulda told me. I would have let you borrow my cam tool for that.. you don't have to touch the tensioner at all.
here's the process for priming the tensioner:
24. If the timing chain tensioner is not in the compressed state, perform the following steps:
24.1. Remove the piston assembly from the body of the timing chain tensioner by pulling it out.
24.2. Install the J 45027-2 (2) into a vise.
24.3. Install the notch end of the piston assembly into the J 45027-2 (2).
24.4. Using the J 45027-1 (1), turn the ratchet cylinder into the piston.
25. Inspect the bore of the tensioner body for dirt, debris, and damage. If any damage appears, replace the tensioner. Clean dirt or debris out with a lint free cloth.
26. Install the compressed piston assembly back into the timing chain tensioner body until it stops at the bottom of the bore. Do not compress the piston assembly against the bottom of the bore. If the piston assembly is compressed against the bottom of the bore, it will activate the tensioner, which will then need to be reset again.
27. At this point the tensioner should measure approximately 72 mm (2.83 inch) (a) from end to end. If the tensioner does not read 72 mm (2.83 inch) (a) from end to end repeat steps 16.1 and 16.4.
here's an explanation:
basically there's the bolt itself, a small cylinder, a spring that goes inside it, and another small cylinder thing with a weird notchy like track around its circumference. Basically, you put that into the bolt, and push down on it (its hard as hell) and turn as you push. There's a small key that travels down the notch track, and once you get to the end you give it a slight extra push, and it catches on the end of the track. This is the 'primed' position.
Carefully put the primed assembly into the bolt, tighten the bolt back in place. Once you're ready to apply tension, use a long screwdriver or extension, and push on the area where the tensioner is. It'll unlodge the cylinder from the catch at the end of the ratchet track and apply pressure to the chain.
It sounds confusing but once you've done it once its actually pretty easy.
You push on the long guide from between the cam gears?
I used a cam tool, but the exhaust cam gear slipped out and I needed more tension than what I had. I successfully took a 45 minute job and turned it into a lot longer job.
There was a super tiny piece that looks like a tiny tiny bolt. That's somewhere in my garage. Do you have an extra bolt laying around you'd want to overnight?

I have it at my house and I'm in work tonight until 11pm unfortunately. If you want, I can put together a whole assembly for you and overnight the whole thing (that way you're sure you have a complete assembly). I know there's a bunch of pieces that can be lost if you're not careful.
pay for the overnight shipping and I'll be happy. Its just gonna sit in my garage forever anyway.
Sweet. Let me know the price. I need the bolt soon, but if it's retardly expensive to ship it. Do a 2 day or something else. I can bum rides for a few days.
It'll come loaded and ready to go?

I can prime it for you, but I don't know if it will survive the trip still primed. I can take some pictures with my DSLR and post em up on here how to exactly do the process (all you really need is a semi-large flat head screwdriver. A vice helps, but isn't totally necessary.
you have a PM btw
Everything is in. Where do I put pressure?
Can you describe exactly where on the bolt to push and with what from where? I'm afraid I'm going to break something.
