97 swap what should i do for power?
Wednesday, November 12, 2008 7:36 PM
ive got a 97 cavalier 2.2 ohv 5 speed. i want to do a motor swap. i want power! what should i put in it? what will be the easiest? what will be the cheapest? not alot of time to put into it. its cold and i dont have a shop. my pockets are so shallow a penny has a good chance of falling out. (newborns are no way cheap!) i can get a 2.2 ecotec, a 3100, 3300, 3400, or a 3800. my choice of motors pretty much. ( its good to do side jobs for the owner of a junkyard!) so what do you guys think? i hear the 3400 would be the easiest route. im a welder/fabricator so the fabrication part is easy. need some tips on what to do. im tired seeing civics, crx, and integra ruling the track.
