Hi everyone. Just wanted to know what you guys think or who has tried this product? It's pretty cheap and makes sense but do you think it would really make a noticable difference?

It's been used before in computerized engine-management cars, like the GM F-body & Corvette. As well as in 5.0L Mustangs. Just need the tuning program recalabrated to be optimal with it, 'tis all. So yeah... It should work. It may cost you mileage & increase emissions, but it'll work.

Go beyond the "bolt-on".

Used on a car without the PCM reprogramed will likely leave you in Closed loop mode, costing you power and gas milage. With the proper programming optimized for the cooler motor, you will notice a slight increase in power. Just hold off till you can get the PCM tuned to take advantage of it.

Umm... for what engine. I do not know for sure but both John Higgins and DOHC Tuner say stock for the 2.4 is 180.

We don't even know what engine the OP has since he has not filled out his profile.

Wrong. jbody's use a 180 stock, but yes the car runs at 195.
As for needing the computer reprogramed to run a cooler stat no. You can get a 160 and still be fine. The jbody's go into open loop around 100-105 degree's. You can run no stat and the car is still going to run at 195 degree's, just going to take longer to get there.

Granted, but if he has an auto, I believe torque convertor lock-up won't occur until about 140-150. Not positive though. On a cold Illinois winter day, with my 160 Tstat, it has a hard time going much higher than 155.
