Does anyone know if a head on a 95 S10 2.2L would have the same high compression issues on a 01 2200 . I know that the head off a car will give you really high compresion but does the truck have the same size chamber? Im thinking it is lower like most trucks.

yes i believe it will effect the compression the same way until teh s10 went to 2200
I figured that it would have some impact on the compression but i was more of wondering how much of a difference. i have been told that the 95 2.2L car head will make the compression around 13:1 on a 2200 . I was wondering if this was the case with the truck heads.?.

yes, the combustion chambers are the same size from the car to the truck models.
I believe that there are some cooling passage differences, but that is it.
ya it will raise the compression a ton, i have a thread here somewhere of a race motor i had that had the 98 pistons with a 94 head that was shaved .100 the pics speak fro themself when it hit 16:1 compression
The only real differences between the J-car & S-truck app LN2's are intake & exhaust manifolds. When the LN2 got changed for '98, both apps received it. And since puttin' a pre-'98 head on a '98-later engine will increase compression...
