ok, I and prob many other people have used the search on how to swap a 2.4 into a 2.2 car (most common swap in these cars), with little/crappy/no results. I would also like to try this swap myself, as i have a donor car in the garage (sunfire GT). does anyone know of a step by step / how-to guide? anyone with experience have interest in making one and posting it as a sticky? I'm sure a few people would agree it would help alot of confused people out, and eliminate weekly posts asking how to do this. THANKS!

Whole wireing harness, computer, and the other tranny lol.
Ive heard you can get away without changing the harness? I know the computer and tranny (goin with 5 speed). i was just lookin for a how-to or a step by step as ive never done a complete swap, just smaller things like replacing a blown motor with an identical one. i need more along the lines of what i will need to do to keep the original harness, I dont care what i have to do to keep this one as i have alot of things spliced into it and dont wanna start over. i think it will mount right up as this engine and trans were optional for these cars. idk. what im sayin is im kinda new to J's but not to cars.(been around GM cars mostly). anyone wanna help me out? I'd gladly appreciate it, as id like to park the car all winter and start pullin the motor and trans. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!

a lot of the censors are in different places on the engine, I.E. the TPS and IAC. I'm not sure what else is, but I'm sure there is more. you're best off just going with the proper harness and modifying it from there. what additional things do you have added into the harness itself?

Yea i posted a how-to kind of. Basically helping someone out. Matt if you need help i'll try to help you out. Just pm with what info you need as to a 2.4 swap sticky would not be worth the hassle. And also if i did one i would like to have pics of it all in which i don't. If you want a write up then i'll see what i can do.
