If you have an 03-05 fuel rail - Ford red tops - 30lb/hr, or ford green tops 42lb/hr. Both will require pigtails from something like a 5.0 or 4.6 ford V8

If you have a 2002 fuel rail - cobalt ss/sc injectors are a drop in

The injectors out of an automatic AWD DSM.

I think they were 350cc. If you want bigger than that, 450's come stock in the manual AWD DSM's.

ss/sc injectors work w/ the 03+ fuel rail as well, no moddin either.

This site has a revolutionary new feature called "Search Functionality" which is almost unheard of other places on the internets.

There is also something called a "Profile Button." You can use this feature to find out what other people are running in their cars and also contact them personally if you have questions.

Please visit the Newb forum or your shop teacher for any other questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

-Blackeco (Resident Smartass)

none.

you change the injectors, the ecu needs to be programmed for the new size.

next time post in the newb forum where this crap belongs.

thanks to cody on ecotecforum.

Cody@RDFABS wrote:Ok, I had a break in the fun today at the shop and spent some time figuring all this out. First of all, please excuse the dirtiness of my motor as it has been sitting since January when i cleaned it up, and the fuel rail was store at my house in a rag.....So here we go....

Start with you LSJ 36Lb Injectors.... Voila! ( I got these off a Cobaltss.net member with 9K miles on em for $60 shipped)

The 2003-2005 L61 fuel rail..

Start installing the injectors.

ALL of the LSJ injectors fit the fuel rail and DO NOT touch the mounting ears which attach the fuel rail to the head.

After the fuel rail is installed, I did notice however that the GRAY spacers are sunk too far into the head to allow the injectors to fully seat and make a good seal. I was able to wiggle them a little bit, and more than likely would cause a fuel vapor leak to occur. Now here is how to remedy that....

Get a set of pliers that can grip and twist from left to right and they will break their seal and then slowly pull them out towards yourself. They have a rubber O-ring at the bottom which makes the seal. Re-install them into the hole about 3/4 of the way seated. Or till they look like this...

The spacer on the right is completely seated to the bottom in the above pic. Below are some more examples of where the stock seating placement is.

By moving the spacers out that much, allowed the LSJ injectors to better seat into the head and I wasn't able to wiggle them anymore and actually took some force to remove the fuel rail the second time around. I didn't get a picture of the rail back in with the spacers because my camera was taken away from me without me knowing by Ryan to snap some pics of the Hayabusa we're turboing right now for a customer. Jerk... Lol.

But there ya have it! The LSJ injectors with on the 03-05 L61 J-body fuel rail and THEY DO FIT!

...end arguments

was about to say the same thing. I mean really, if you know so much, why come here and ask for advice if all you're going to do is tell the people whom are giving you the advice that they're idiots? sounds like a great way to alienate people to me.

Translation: *laughs* Advice? I see only one person who actually had an answer. Everyone else had some sort of rude comment. And people wonder why they get a rude comment back? There's your answer *points to answer* Anyway, what is the purpose of saying something like that? *says "hmm" while stroking beard or imaginary one* That doesn't make much sense now, does it?

There, I fixed it for you.
