Hey guys I was wondering what you think the estimated cost for a port and polish would be on a 2200 sfi engine? Thanks.

call around to your local machine shops and ask. They all have different prices.

i was quoted 150 dollars to port the whole head from a very well known shop here in kc.

$150 for just porting and not polishing makes sense.

it can run anywhere from $200-$1000. depends on your area, teh shops.....and you..some shops can see a sucker comming

It cost me $800 to get my 086 head matched to the 2.4 gasket, ported, polished, and a valve job. Idk if that helps any.

the job included a port and polish of the intake and exhaust runners, smoothing out the imperfections of the combustion chamber and shaping where the guides are for better efficiency. It sure is a steal and its from a very reputable guy, i will be taking advantage of this once next school semester starts.

That sounds about right. I charge $120 for a basic port and polish on a bare 4cyl head. Chances are you wont be getting any bells or whistles but with your setup your really not going to be seeing much of a difference anyway. I say go for it!
