generally, if you buy the SRI from one of the bigger companies, you'll get the one that does go right to the TB, like the Injen that WHITECAVY is selling.
A 90* elbow of high-pressure hose... like seen used in turbo applications... would be the choice here, if it's not included in the kit. As for that box, it's just there as part of inlet noise control. It unbolts easily.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
aem has an intake that connects strait to the throttle body. if your looking for an intake.
