will aftermarket exhausts for the old 2.4 twin cams or the 2.2L fit on the ecotec cavaliers?
essentially from the cat back, yes, please search first though. i know of 2 or 3 on this page alone that answer your question.
i did some searching but im jsut not finding the right answer im looking for....im basically wanting to know if the ebay exhausts that say they will fit the 96-03 cavalier 2.2L and or the 2.4L. will they fit the 03-05 cavaliers, cat back is what im looking for not the whole set up...i know ebay parts are pretty much junk but my exhaust is leaking and falling apart and i need something to get by on for not a lot of cash....and 200 bux isnt that bad when it comes to exhaust especially for me who dosent race.
If it were me and i wasn't planning oh seeing any gain for performance i would take my car to an exhaust shop and have them bend and weld new 2.25" pipe and i would throw on any kind of muffler besides a fart can. (or see if they could weld and keep your existing muffler and resonator)
because for $200 shipped your going to get the worst sounding cat back exhaust.. its going to have a fart can on it and its going to either not bolt up correctly and look like total ass OR its going to rust and fall apart within a month so your going to be back in square 1 only with out the $200 you spent on it.
PLEASE for the love of god do something different and DONT get a fart can.
So ball park estimate....lets say i get a magnaflow muffler and take it to a shop and have them throw on some tubes from the cat back...what am i looking at in terms of a price....or should i get a vibrant catback.....how good are they...ive searched on the vibrants and havent found a ton on them
vibrants are nice not extremely loud but look good(youtube has good sound clips), however if you get a magnaflow muffler and tubes custom bent from the cat back, depending on the cost of the muffler and whatever the shop charges you, it would most likely be less than the vibrant catback.

This man speaks the truth. There is a company called CTI. can be found on google by typing in cunstom tubes incorperated that prebends 2.5 inch steel with a mandrel. if you want 2.5 inch that would be your best best, then find a muffler and cat and res to match. i think the pre bent tubing is around 150ish. i'll be nice today....heres a link

I love the Vibrant Catback. No problems with it and it sounds good.
Thank you....all i will need is the tubing from them and the muffler...im only going from the cat back so i wont need a resonater...didnt use one with the pacesetter that i had.....i can put the exhaust in no problem just need a shop to weld it is all...
