ok well simple question glad to see you cant just answer the question. glad to see people still cant be mature. what ever ill search some more.
answer is no... kinda like tryna put a square block into a triangle hole. two WAY different motors.. but somethin like that you dont even have to search for. theres threads from here to there, that talk about the two motors.
Its like asking of you can put a head from a 572 on a LSx.

glad to see newbs still post up stupid questions.
the answer is no.
why would you want to swap the 2.4 head onto the ecotec anyway? Because its a bigger number?
wow daflinyskwirl no maybe because i have a 2.4 motor available. Wanted to see if any thing was interchangeable other than the intake before we part the car. guess because i been on here two days mean i haven't read this forum for the last year and a half.

No no no, the numbers dont match up, it wont work. But the 2200 will! They are both 2.2 engines!
i didn't think it was a big deal when someone was added to the site.. i guess some people feel special acting like they know everything.. just remember there once was a time when you were asking questions.

you are right, i know we all still ask questions, but 85% of us SEARCH first. Dave.org added the feature a long long long long time ago for a reason. It to HELP! wow what a concept!!! If every person that joined this site daily asked questions first before searching, all the site veterans would ONLY be answering questions. Is it really that damn hard to press search, type a few key words and read for an hour or so before u ask a retarded question?

here is your thread in image form:
if you have a 2.4, there is no reason you couldn't simply LOOK at the two engines. the answer is pretty obvious.
especially all the documentation floating around on the internet, and this site about the ecotec and the 2.4.. this isn't inexperience, this is plain laziness.
