My dads got an old Chrysler Sebring that has a 2.5 V6 in it.
Is it possible that these can be swapped into a J?
anything is possible depends how much work u wanna do and money u wanna spend
8 psi with m62 and IAT under 100
Not easily or even worth the time or money.
wouldnt even be able to use anything from the j beside the shell
8 psi with m62 and IAT under 100
I wasn't considering doing it, I was just curious.
that's the same engine i've got in my sebring... not worth the time/money imo. for being a v6, it really doesn't have a whole lot more power than a modded 2.4 or 2.2 eco.
crap load more power that Hyundai 2.7 found in the tib though.

Comparing Chrysler and hyundai engines is like comparing a road apple to a cow patty. They're both $#!%, and no matter which one you step in, its not a good time.
2010 Honda Fit LX
Well nothing between the GM computer or frame and the Chrysler computer/engine/tranny/axles will want to be happy with each other.. If you would want to put all that money into something like that swap in the newer GM DOHC V6 motors..
Must I repeat myself?
I'm not doing it, I was just curious.

That 2.5L in the Sebring/Avenger is made by Mitsubishi. For the 170hp you get it wouldn't be worth the extra weight. Plus it has almost no after market support. You'd be way better off boosting a Eco. But if you insist in going through the trouble of swapping an engine in that didn't come in a J, use a 3X00 engine or a SB V8
Or using a Stock NA Quad-4 HO.........
(with 10 more HP)
and that swaps in.
Easily
