I just got one on my 97 2.2 OHV and was wondering if anyone else has one on their j. Im gonna get a sound clip of it, if anyone else has a clip id like to hear it. It has a nice deep tone while cruising and not too bad of a sound at WOT.

I had it but didn't like it, with my exhaust it had too much rasp but I didn't have a cat on there at the time either... I probably should have went with the 40 series however I switched to a super turbo and I'm much happier w/ it.
Probably the best vid from the outside I have w/ that muffler:

60 series is the sh!t. sound clips are on flowmastmufflers.com already...
Working on obtainting an M-Class license... ?? Hint: 2 wheels.
The 50 Deltaflow is good. Heard a clip on a LN2 (That's your engine's RPO-code) S-10 on YouTube... And it was a nice, deep "throaty" sound. Deep & throaty is what you want in sound from a exhaust (Particularly performance-oriented) since high-pitched or "tinny" sounds can be annoying. Also, look into installing a glass-pack muffler between tha catalytic-convertor & the first bend by the rear axle. That will help reduce the raspiness in the exhaust. And of the rest of the engine-related pieces are pretty much stock, a 2" system is the biggest you'll need.
As for muffler size, that's another story. Choose whatever design you like, just choose one with a flow-rating that's equivelent to 2.2cfm@10.5"hg drop for every 1hp the engine realistically produces. Reason for this is that since what's put on the engine (inlet-breathing wise) is choosen by what CFM rating it has, it makes sense to apply the same rules & methods of rating to what goes on the outlet side. If you need to use a muffler with a larger inlet or outlet than what your system is to meet your requirements, go ahead. Just use reducer flanges (Found at any commercial-truck supply store) on each end of it, and don't go making the pipe after it the same size as the muffler's outlet. This will result in a megaphone effect (Like found with cheapo ricer mufflers) that no one will like.
Also, when you connect the pipe running to the inlet of the muffler, extend the pipe's end about half-way into the inlet bung while using a reducer like I mentioned. This will act like a anti-reversion piece that will keep the exhaust from sucking air up the pipe (And making a backfire-like sound) when the engine is coasting-down. It will also help in keeping the negative pulses (reversion signals) between the outward-going pulses from pulling so much of the gases back up the tube, and in a way helping to scavenge the exhaust (Which helps with power & economy) and make it run more quietly (Very important on a street car).
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
I had a 40 series delta on my 99 2.2 Sunfire, along with a header and full 2 1/4 exhaust and it sounded great. The 60 series should be similar, only much quieter. I have a 50 series delta and magnaflow resonator sitting in the garage waiting to be installed on my eco.

I think I'm wrong on mine, it was a 50 series delta flow not a 60 if I recall correctly. Not sure how much of a difference there was between them though.
