Need a good header
Monday, January 19, 2009 4:13 PM
I have a pacesetter header 4-1. It is the uncoated one and never fit properly on the car. Recently the header cracked. I need a new header and would like to know what anyone else is using and what brand will be a good brand. I want something that I can put on and pretty much forget about. Where to purchase would be helpful also. Thanks

did u buy the header used by chance? I have never ever ever heard anyone say they didnt like their pacesetter headers. And are you even sure you had the right one? saying it didnt fit properly...maybe you had a pacesetter knockoff?

just asking to verify...not knocking you..

I have a BBP header I recently bought off eBay. The fit and finish seem decent, but the longevity is still to be determined.

I purchased the header new from a shop in Pittsburgh. A relativly popular shop. I am unfortunately using the stock mounts. The header cracked about 6 inches away from the motor on the right pipe on top. Several shops tried to put it on, and they were never able to get the bends after the collector put in. I had a custom collector with flex pipe installed.
