any one on here ever use those blue and red anodized fittings? ive been wanting to do black braided hose in my engine bay for a while but dont know much about the fittings or anything like that. if you have pics also thatd be great id like to get an idea of were i can put some
Just hit Summit, Jegs, or go straight to Earls, Russel, or Aeroquip for some information on the braided lines.
They'll usually have alot of information on what they offer, what line to buy, and how it all goes together for your application.
Other than that, pictures really won't help you much in knowing how or where to put the braided lines.
You've also got to have the appropriate fitting to either adapt to the braided lines or have a direct hookup to the lines.
Good luck.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
They are called AN fittings and are readily available. They are expensive though, expect to pay upwards of $30 PER FITTING for some sizes and configurations.
The terminology comes from the military. AN standing for Army/Navy in which they specified they wanted hydraulic fittings that are full flow serviceable connections in easy to understand sizes.
I.E. A 90 degree fitting in -3 AN will flow just as well as a straight section of 3/16" (Note where the -3 designation comes in) pipe.
I have seen sizes from -1an (1/16") on up through -40an (2 1/2")
The fittings seal with a SAE 45 degree flare.
IMHO unless you are routing custom lines or are racing on a sanctioned track they are pointless...WAY too expensive to use just because they look cool. Oil feed and return lines for my turbo was over $100 just in hose and fittings...to get from the back of the block to the turbo and out the bottom into the dipstick.

Most of the better fittings use a 37 degree fitting instead of the standard pipe fittings of 45 degrees. True AN fittings use 37 degree and is what separates the AN fitting from the National Pipe standard fitting of 45 degrees.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
my whole bay will be earls and braided, got them professionally assembled tho pics soon !
id love to see that make sure you post the pics up thanks bro
I ran ss lines from my tank to my fuel rail and that was around $250 (-8an feed and -6an return). I am also looking to run ss lines for my vacuum lines, but that will probably be another $200.
I plan on doing the same with the 'blu.
So far, I've done the fuel pressure gauge with Earls line but will eventually be doing all the hoses, lines, or whatever I can change out with stainless lines.
On the fuel system, I've already planned out the stand alone setup using all Weldon fuel pump, filters, and AFPR. Fuel cell will also go into the car along with the removal of the stock gas tank.
All in time though.
Money doesn't grow on trees so it may still be a couple of years for all this to happen. lol
