Oil pan modifications......

just wondering how many quarts of oil would an ld9 engine require after having the 2.3 oil pump swap? being that the oil pan needs modified i would think it would require more oil??

I put 7 in mine and that gets it to the full mark.

No balance shaft and a deeper pan free up a lot of room for oil.

Clyde, try strapping an oil cooler and filter relocator onto that, lets see how much oil it takes! lol

Stock pan and I need about 6.2 bottles. lol

Damn, thats a lot for a standard 2.4 pan.

If I make a seperate oil system for my turbo (assuming I rebuild for it) I will have to use more than 7 Qts.
