Stage 1 cam in 2.4
Wednesday, February 04, 2009 9:21 AM
I've been looking around a lot for info on a cam swap on my 98 2.4.. I'm going with forced air and Wiesco Forged Pistons 9:1CR. I found stage 1-3 cams and not sure what i would be better off with also going with 1mm over-sized valve..

Um, if you don't know your 2.4L doesn't have rockers then maybe you should put this on hold until you do some more research. It would only take you 10-20 min to find out lots of info on cams for the 2.4, there have been many recent discussions on the subject.

also, theres been lots of 2.4L cam talk going on lately.

theres Lafngas, Zyaaa, and myself all working on 2.4L cam projects.

i believe Lafngas is going either HO or W41.
Zyaaa i think is going HO or a regrind close to it.
and myself, im getting a specialty regrind done. Triflow

I'm just running an exhaust/header, intake, and some ignition stuff. I'm only trying to build the '00 LN2 to 200hp, but which cam should I go with, stage 1 or stage 2? Stage 1 is probably the safest, but could I run a stage 2? These guys seem to have a nice deal with the free lifters, JBP's stuff is way more expensive.
