Hey guys.
i already have my turbo and parts i am just curious on what exactly to do. i have a 2.4 at the moment but i was going to get a 2.2eco from a 07 cobalt although i keep hearing and seeing videos of people with a 3800 in a cavalier... what would be best? also which swap is easier. i am also curious on wether there is a manual tranny for the 3800 and what inside engine work i would need to do to it. if i get the eco i will be rebuilding it from bearings up so i can push the maximum amount of boost possible. Thanks for the help.
2007 eco?...will that work?....just stick with the 2400, and with a turbo you will blow the 3800 and the ecotec out of the water.
GMR has got nothing on this
go with a 2200 ohv its the top of the line
my kill list:a geo metro and a mac semi wow did i kill that thing
its a 99. im still reasearching on the cobalt 07engine although its not looking promising. might be stuck with just the 2.2eco from a cav.

For a 95-99 eco swap you need a donor car(03-05 J-body) and swap EVERYTHING over.
Im not sure on the exact year, but the new L61s in the cobalts have switched to VVT. The VVT is going to be more trouble than it's worth for the swap.

the 2.2 with vvt in the cobalts isn't a L61 anymore, its called a LAP.

Really? Then why is the ecotec the top holder in both 1/4 and hp? 606whp and a 10.4 I believe are the top standing hp and times on this site, both held by an ecotec.
