ok ive narrowed my converter choices down to two... need a little help deciding which one to get.
i really like
this one because its small.
but wouldnt mind
this one one bit.
just dont understand what the difference is... the heat shield?
Needing 2.3 oil pump stuff? PM me...
second one is safer for the o zone and @!#$ is all i got
8 psi with m62 and IAT under 100
I pick option #4, none.
Cat 1
Cat 2
The main difference is the substrate material. One is metallic and one is ceramic.

thats huge....... thats what she said but really its huge
8 psi with m62 and IAT under 100
I have been looking for a good long 3" inner core cylindrical resonator. No luck other than the short ones on ebay. Might end up having to do a cat and a shorter one.

well, what id like to do is...
cat----electric dump----tiny resonator---dynomax super turbo---'Y' pipe blowing the exhaust out right before the gas tank. (no over axel piece)
Needing 2.3 oil pump stuff? PM me...
How about this, NO CAT

What about
this...
Or
this...
A resonator is just a muffler...
because i want things quiet. like STOCK quiet. and then... when its time to get into it... throw the switch for the dump. done.

I have a Tsudo 4-2-1 header, 2.25" Thrush glasspack, 2.5" Piping to my 3"/3" Flowmaster Delta Flow 50 series.
Not too bad crusing but WOT is still @!#$in loud!

When I had my cutout it dragged on everything, so make sure you get it really tucked up in there, those electric dumps are notorious for getting destroyed easily.

3" Exhaust isn't going to be stock quiet....
Is this going on the turbo car or the N/A car? I am running a FULL 3" exhaust/dp on my N/A car with a modified pacesetter header. I have a dynomax ultra flow muffler, magnaflow cat, and a magnaflow race series muffler.
Its sounds damn near close to the turbo car at Idle and at cruising, but some people might consider that too loud. But i don't think you can run a 3" exhaust and be STOCK quiet...
Rich Grayo Jr. wrote:enter choice the third. works great, no check engnine light, and is relatively small.
I have this in stainless.
you can with the right muffler
LOL
im torn... (na car) goal is 200wheel... id like to go 3" but wouldnt mind 2.5"
thoughts?
Needing 2.3 oil pump stuff? PM me...
If you want stock quite till you hit dump switch couldnt you build idk.. say 2.5 in down pipe to dump, then stock exhaust after dump..
like header - downpipe - elec cut out - cat - stock everything else

I have the same series cat as your second choice, but 2.5 and with the o2. The tabs for the heat shield rub a little since my resonator is too long (28") and the cat was forced to before the stock location. It allows for a little more ground clearance though, It does'nt have a scratch. If your state does OBD only smogs I would go with the first one and tuck it up nice and tight in the stock tunnel. That muffler might fit, I had
THIS on my car, you have to put a flange on the inlet, and I had to cut a few inches out of the bumper and the underside of my 03+ LS sport lip. I miss it.
I like the stock exhaust after the cut-out idea, or even 2-2.5 to keep some power and quiet it down. Besides, if you go 3" all the way, would the powergains by dumping the exhaust really justify a couple hundred bucks? Go with a stock "dump-back" and the cut-out becomes more than just a volume knob.
Listen F***ers. FASTERTHANAHONDA is a joke because I WORK FOR HONDA. I'll talk @!#$ about Fords to, that doesn't mean I can beat a 12 second mustang.
