So, i ordered myself a aem short ram for my 98 z24, but then i noticed, a week later, that theres a M/T adapter tihng (cant remember the exact name) that is sold seperate. Is that required to install it on a 5speed? and if so, is it something i could find at a parts store? or would i need to order it and wait another week?

The m/t adapter thing is actually a mount for your clutch reservoir. When you remove the factory air box there is nowhere to mount the res. You can zip tie it to the firewall but it isn't recommended. You most likely will not find this piece at a part store but is fairly inexpensive online. Check the group purchase forum, think I saw something there.

probably the cheapest you will ever find something like that. everyone seems to be happy with them.

you could always try to fashion something up yourself, but this is much easier.

I got you a picture of the AEM mount so you can see it. I paid $26 for it before the group purchase was available. You should check into the GP though, I just ordered one from them for my buddy but if I like this one better, then he get my AEM. Hope this helps

i think i might be down for an OEM one this year

i find the AEM one has a very precarious mount for the resevoir... its there for the time being, but i might fashion one similar to that freebie u got there, looks quite practical lol
