Looking at buying the LZM Upper and Lower Engine Mounts

Unfortunately although my dad gave me the J, I'm 16 so it's titled in his name. He's way uneducated on cars and thinks I'm going to be breaking axles and crap from the solidness of these mounts.

The lower is solid billet aluminum. The upper is billet aluminum and I'm getting it with solid bushings. $200 for upper and lower. Solid aluminum. Satin aluminum. Perfect right?

Am I going to cause damage with these mounts or is he as full of it as I think?

Should go nicely with my LSJ Pacesetter header. Gotta wait until my next couple paychecks get here but hey. Gotta contact LZM and see if their upper mounts are done yet. I'll probably just order and hopefully receive the solid lower early.

$40 more for the LZM lower mount. And it's solid. Billet aluminum.

So it's lighter (I would guest) and is unable to rust. I was going to go TurboTech but for the price I'd rather go Solid aluminum. I will still do the solid TTR mount. Noone has gone with the LZM mounts. Comfort is unnecessary so no argument there either.

There is no reason why you should have solid motor mounts on your daily driver, you will hate it.

Maybe too harsh, but if you got big plans for later, it's best to buy parts one time and be done with it

The LZM upper comes as a poly mount, if you want the solid insert bushings then its another $20 bucks...

I'll sell you my used RKsport thats in my sunfire right now as once spring comes I'm not going to have a use for it anymore when I get rid of the sunfire. Still looks new...

I have both of LZM's mounts, and I already know my whole car is going to vibrate like a bitch, but its not a DD.... just a fun screw around town when its nice out kinda deal.

LZM is a good company. But those mounts aren't for you.

how so? let him do what he wants. if he doesnt like them then guess what, he is 16 and will have plenty more years to figure out what he likes and what he doesnt. since im sure about 99% of you have never had full solid mounts you have no real say in anything and have no experience, i will be the first to say i have never used full solid mounts so i cant spew bs toward this kid. if he wants them dont sit here and type up bs out of your vast internet knowledge and no personal knowledge, if he doesnt like the solid upper he can switch to the poly bushings, what a great idea LZM had to make this interchangeable. if he doesnt like the lower then ill be the first in line to buy it used off him.

if you break an axle with little to nothing done to the car then you may want to consider some suspension upgrades as well as some practice at driving/launching correctly. i wouldnt blame it on the solid mounts considering you still have rubber or poly on the trans side.

if you dont like the mounts and want to sell them then click the pm button next to my name and id gladly take them off your hands.
