crank weight

does anyone know the weight of the stock ecotec crank?

horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.

if it is lightened at all you didnt get jipped, figure 1 lb of rotating weight makes a whole lot more difference than just taking off 1 lb of weight, some people strive to take 100grams off of pistons and such. if it is lightened you better make sure it is zero balanced again

If we take what Dearman says then:
12 x 4 = 48 lbs
15 x 4 = 60 lbs

I would say that my numbers are pretty good then. I would think the ecotec crank would start off lighter so I think your 37 lbs crank could be 10 - 15 lbs lighter.

i would but kinda need the car to still run, lol. cant really go pullin the crank out of my daily driver. but i guess ill have to do that one of these days, seeing as how this is such a simple question that nobody has the answer to. its acctually kinda funny.
