why is there so many people asking about swapping in the series 1 into a 3rd gen mike did it and said hes gonna switch to a series 2

SERIES 1 isn't worth it doesn't make the power the series 2 does and your better off buyin a gm supercharger for the 2.4 if your gonna swap in that motor

mike if you still want me to do a harness when your ready let me know

If youre gonna get a series 3 later on, why waste your time swapping in the series 1?

why a v6? what exactly are you trying to get out of it? i can't imagine why you would want a series 1 3800 just because it's a v6 and it's free. it only makes 170 crank hp and it's a frickin naval ship anchor.

your goin at it all wrong you can swap a 3400 in with way less work the motor is not the expensive part its the fabricating and its NOT WORTH fabricating the mounts for a 3800 series 1, series 3 isn't much more power then a 2 and you will have to swap out some parts since its a throttle by wire system this tells me you havn't researched this topic enough

alright, well i have researched and done my shopping. i am goin to do the 3800 swap. i am goin to be the only one in my town to have it done. so this winter after he uses the car one last time. and i have a mechanic that works at my local nissan dealership that told me he will help, he says the easy part is putting it in, the hard part will be the electrical. so i have someone who has done an engine swap before, so i think im goin to stick with my original plan. i am goin to try this. call me stupid but i am in a crew called StreetScene, and well i wanna make my cavy one of a kind in Cornwall(where i live), so thanx guys for your help and thanx for the info in the near future

your gonna regret it i have a 2.4 in my z and it is faster than my series 1 3800 cav it just isnt very impressive but since your going to waist the time anyways you will not be able to pass emissions so i hope you dont have too also what car is the engine coming out of? does the car have the chip in the key?(vats)and last are you using an obd1 or 2 setup

well the good news is you have the front mount and you wont need to use dog bone mounts the bad is that with an auto its really hard to make the rear mount and you have the make it and as for the wiring if you wanted to get lazy you could just use the regal fuse box and splice in power and run a wiring loom on the back of the motor

alright, i heard this guy whos giving me the engine is goin in a demo derby, so im not taking the motor, its gonna be junked by then end, so if i could find the 3400, since everyone told me itll be easier? and will it pass the emissions, and how easy is it for the wiring. but like i said if i can only find one. so thanx guys, but those are the last questions, thanx guys, and well i see the light. its gonna be the biggest pain in the A** to put it. so these are the last questions if you guys can asnwer them, it would be appreciated, thanx
