Everything from the headgasket and up (plus the pistons) are completely different. So, the intake manifolds are completely different, and so are the fuel rails.

You can bore the block .040" over, but you won't get to 2.3L

if you are going through all that work, put in the 2.4 or the eco, the 2200 just isnt worth it if you are looking for power...Although I love my 2.2, I prefer to drive the 2.4...and as I was told, to turbo the pre 98 2.2, it would be most helpful to do a top feed conversion.

Since it's worded a little better. Just get the engine harness and ecu from the donor car, and aside from maybe welding new tranny mounts, I don't see anything too major to do after that. It should be fairly easy to make it work..

Of you could have been a nice guy, and helped him out with his question instead of being a dick.

Whats wrong with you people? You wont take the time to give someone your knowledge, but you will take the time to talk @!#$ about them or bitch at them to use the search... then they search, find the info on an old thread... bump the thread for more info and you bitch at them for bumping a dead thread.

This site is full of pathetic @!#$bags.

Relax. I did help him, I told him what would most likely have to be done first....then I had pointed out that I could have been a dick...
