Hey guys, we are working with a company down in Miami on building mandrel bent exhaust systems for a very fair price. I know there are quite a few systems out there and a couple of members are making them here as well so please no bashing is you are not interested. This is a feeler for a GB to start up. I would need 5-10 people to get this started and from then on I can have systems made when ever someone wants to order one, obviously not at that GB pricing but still at an affordable price. Here are pics of the systems he has made for the W-Body crowd. I cant tell you how well the systems fit and how much better they sound, not to mention the power gained just from them being mandrel bent. If you are interested please let me know. Pricing- $300-$500 Full kits, not just piping

those are very nice!
Couple questions
What mufflers/resonators does he use? Aluminized or SS Piping.. What kind of Flanges? Warranty?
LE61T PTE6262 Powered
Mufflers are Magnaflow or Borla. If you want a cheaper or more expensive brand, he can get it. Both kinds of piping are available, from SS to aluminumized. He uses custom water jetted flanges that I provide. They are 3/8" steel. Not sure on the warranty.

I don't own a 3rd gen or I'd kill to find the money to get it. That's a good price for a full exhaust system.

I really would be interested if I had the $$$ on hand. They look like a nice setup. Ill have to see what I can scrape up for $. I am interested
Good deal from what I have been seeing for complete systems online.
If i had the money, I would def jump on this.
I'd bet by the time you get Magna resonator + muffler + SS piping Atomic's would be cheaper.

^^^ yea and it'd still be a 6 piece welded together section. this is for MANDREL bent.
why wouldnt we be able to just get the piping?
Needing 2.3 oil pump stuff? PM me...
^Ok
There comes a point when it just wont matter. You also get V-bands which enable nice options to be easily added and removed when you feel like it.

i may interested in this, i know the exact muffler i want but not sure on a resonator. i about 3 hours from miami would they cut me a deal on install too?

No @!#$, you dont suppose. I know what a W body is.
So how much would you charge for say just the bent pipe in aluminised 3" ?
josh? doesnt matter? so your saying having 6 breaking points as well as 6 possible leak points is better than one solid piece? i''ll agree that the v-band connections is nice... but i can garentee you OEM or whoever is making them for OEM could probably handle putting in a couple v-bands.
mark how about for a 'cat-back' section of 3" stainless? just piping...
Needing 2.3 oil pump stuff? PM me...
Ok it looks like piping is the way you guys wanna go. For this GB the piping will start off at $175 for 2.5" aluminumized and $250 for stainless. Add $85 for 3"
This will be for the single exhasut. For the dual exhasut your probably looking at an extra $25-50.

LOL....you sound shocked I'd say something like that.
I see your point as far as leak points and such, but being SS and TIG welded it wont be near as much of an issue. I agree, mandrel is nice....but I wouldn't spend more $ for it in my honest opinion vs. a nicely TIG welded SS system. I think the only way I'd really spend more $ on mandrel is if I was running a remote setup. idk, I've been wrong before, why not on this one too.

that is just un-called for.....
mandrel bent means everything is welded. which means when you want to change something, get out the sawsall. but that also means you dont have x amount of joints in your exhaust to leak, or whatever else.
i totally feel that the mandrel is the better system.
I'd definitely be interested in 2.5" stainless steel piping.
If I didn't already have a system I would be all over this, but if I do decide to upgrade from what I have I'll be all over this :-)
Awesome prices

wrong. mandrel bent means it lived its life as one complete straight piece at one time and was mandrel BENT thereafter into the shape it needed to be. basically... INSTEAD of having sections welded together to create a bend... mandrel is actually BENT to form the bend. IMO welding pieces together is cheap and cheating.
look at most other PROFESSIONALLY built cat-back systems (ie, dc sports, magnaflow, borla and yes even ebay's megan racing) are all one piece mandrel bent units.
im not arguing that mandrel bent is better than regular bent here... im arguing one piece is better than 6 welded together. but yes... mandrel bending is also better than regular bending because the entire diameter of the pipe stays exactly the same, even throughout the bend.

^You do know that the bends in Atomic's system are mandrel bends right? Its just pieced together with welds..thats all. IMO the differences between mandrel pieces welded vs. 1 piece mandrel tubing will never be able to be realized on a dyno. I see no benefit either way unless your running a remote turbo setup....and even then the only justification I can see is the "what if" circumstance as far as a weld popping. Between the two setups...it all comes down to price for me. 1 piece mandrel tubing > or = welded mandrel pieces >> crush bent tubing.
