Pretty much true, it's pointless.
Unless you're going to run nitrous or some kind of power adder, you're stuck in the 10's or more.
But don't lose hope either man. There have been several that have gotten their 2.2 ohv's into the 15's in the 1320 so that would equate to very high 9's to extremely low 10's for the eight.
Good luck man and do enjoy your car.

Spray the 2200. Blow it up. Then swap in a Ecotec and be pissed off that stock the L61 is faster than the LN2 on gas

Isnt a 9 second 1/8th mile pass roughly equivalent to about a 13.5 second 1/4 mile pass?

I think my car runs like 11's or something in the 1/8th mile.... with the 1/4 mile time in my sig..... but I could be remembering wrong....... because I dont give a crap about 1/8th mile numbers...

Just get out there and have some fun at the track.
Learn to bracket race and you won't have to worry about having a fast car but one that is consistent.
There is when driving skill is more important than having a fast car.
I won two trophies in bracket racing in two different states. I don't have a fast car but I learned to be very consistent with what I have and loved racing.
To me, that was more fun than trying go get a fast car at the time and money wouldn't allow me to be any faster. So bracket racing is what I fell in love with and went to the track every week or sometimes twice a week to learn to be a good bracket racer.
2nd place trophy at Irvington doing the 1/8 mile and a first place at Gulfport Dragway doing the 1/4 mile. They were back to back trophies btw.
I'm just trying to show you a different light about having fun with your car. You'd also be surprised that with all that practice of getting consistent, you learn new ways to take off time from your et's.
