LD9 Build Questions

This coming weekend i will finally be installing my Modded HO Cams and Carriers

Also while doing this i will be installing my Ported and Polished head with 1mm Oversize Carcustoms SS Valves and Bronze Valve guide with ARP Headstuds

Extrude Honed HO Manifold and HO TB

Gaskets by Felpro

New Delco Waterpump

TIming assembly by Clevite

Also my new LC1 wideband

Swapping my Pacesetter Header and 2.25 exhaust over also

Anyone have any good helpful tips on installing these components

Will the stock injectors be good enough for this setup? or should i use a set of Browntops?

How will the motor run with these Cams? Suggestions for areas to correct with HPTuners?

Im going to do the Shifting VE Tune also since the Wideband is going in

Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I added some fuel to my high rpm ve tables. Stock injectors are working. I still need to find the time to do some tuning. Right now i am running in the 12.2-12.6 range. This is on a completely stock head and bottom end. All that is really done to the car is a 65mm tb, HO Mani, pacesetter header, and 3" exhaust.

Also make sure you clean the cam carriers with brake cleaner and be sure to use some rtv on the gaskets so they seal. Also on the ends, put some rtv where the rubber gaskets are, this helps to seal everything up. Make sure to soak the lifters in oil! Double check the timing and you should be good.

whys everyone always saying to soak the lifters in oil? some say to, some say dont. im just gonna crank the car over a couple times as though priming the oil system to have everything lubed up and ready for starting

Team GREEN told me to....

so i guess i cant really argue with them. haha! It is done to get the air out of the lifters.

ive never soaked any of my lifters before and never had an issue.

we also crank the engine over on the bench prior to dropping in car though...

I'm tired of wasting my time... now I'm breakin' free.

Yes a good idea to soak your lifters, cams, etc for pre-install.
