i drove my car today and was getting on it, it is reasonably nice but i was wondering how i can get a little mor power?
i have aem cai
header+ full exhaust

any ideas?
besides turbo
and all that
i was thinking of the 1:6 rocker arms but i read there hard to adjust right???
i have a 1998 cavalier 2.2l ohv
nitrous, cam, idk, you already did the easy bolt-ons. lol.
horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.
Without going FI, you need to work on the head bigtime... port and polish, 1mm oversize valves....camshaft makes a big difference...TUNING is important, hp tuners supports this engine right?
Don't buy from MANTAPART!!
There is no easy ways to get HP, no magic box or gizmo... And if you get more hp, there's no way to make your car still behave and sound like a stock one. More hp usually makes your car louder, more vibrations and harder to drive...but still people hope or think maby there's some magic way to have it all, comfort, stock sound and drive.

Not really... Assuming you have done all the other stuff necessary to properly make use of the 1.6 rocker-swap (measured pushrod length & installed custom-ordered ones, enlongated the slots in the pushrod guides (If you're not using self-guiding rockers) and a li'l mach-work to insure they clear the rocker-cover), the big deal you're speaking of is just having them adjusted so there's about so-much check of the lifter's internal plunger. And that's the easiest part:
While moving rocker back-&-forth (valve-stem tip to pushrod),
slowly turn the adjuster in until no more rocking movement is no longer felt. Then give the adjuster 1/8-1/4 turn more & then tighten the adjuster's lock-nut. Using the special tool sold for rocker adjustment... found in any good performance-parts catalog... makes this an easier task to do, with more precision.
Good-luck!
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
I'll be in the same position as soon as my mounts come in.
I was thinking for my next steps : 1.HP tuners 2. Nitrous (got a dry kit already)
and of course all the necessary hardware in between...
Get a 62 mm TB- I freakin loved mine; got lots more up top, specially coupled with a CAI!

thats your problem right there. takes a lot of work to make the 8 valves quick.
Oversize valves, a port and polish and compression bump will do wonders for that engine
