I removed the idi cover today to paint and polish and put it back on once done. I took it for a drive and noticed it idled werid and around 3000 rpm it would kind of choke and It has no balls anything under 3 it drives normal. Anyone know what could be wrong?
You tightened the bolts too much for the white plastic cover and probably cracked it.
Welcome to the world of the 2.4s @!#$ty ignition. Do the 2.2 coil/icm swap asap.
Boots could have cracked or are not seated correctly

I'm tired of wasting my time... now I'm breakin' free.
DID YOU REMEMBER TO PUTH BACK THE GROUNDING STRAP IN THE IDI????????????
Yeah, he screwed up the grounding strap or got crap under the bolts that ground the cover itself.

The straps are fine and no nothing is cracked. I took the cover off again and noticed 2 out of the 4 springs were on an angle and weren't on properly. All is fix now thanks for all ur advice.
If the springs are corroded at all, get new ones, or the upgraded berillium springs which conduct better and don't corrode
Don't buy from MANTAPART!!
There is no easy ways to get HP, no magic box or gizmo... And if you get more hp, there's no way to make your car still behave and sound like a stock one. More hp usually makes your car louder, more vibrations and harder to drive...but still people hope or think maby there's some magic way to have it all, comfort, stock sound and drive.
