So I've been wanting to make a change with my exhaust for a while and was at NAPA the other day and asked about prices on camaro style mufflers. Well the wife is out of town so Mr. Impulse reared his head and said WTF why not. So I have this Dynomax Super Turbo single in dual out. The only thing is it's 2.5" so I would have to mate it to my existing Vibrant piping which I think is 2 3/8th? Beyond that it's not knowing what it will do to the sound and performance. I'm not really looking for more but I don't want it to kill power as I am not running boost and basically run bolt ons.
Wondering what some opinions are out there. Anyone running this or similar and yay or nay. Thanks.
A muffler is a muffler. Nothing greatly noticeable will come other than sound.
I like my dynomax on my '00 Z24.
But I LOVE my magnaflow on my '96.
It'll sound good, low and deep, not too loud...I prefer the ultraflow ss series though as it flows 1000cfm compared to the 400-something of that one.
Don't buy from MANTAPART!!
There is no easy ways to get HP, no magic box or gizmo... And if you get more hp, there's no way to make your car still behave and sound like a stock one. More hp usually makes your car louder, more vibrations and harder to drive...but still people hope or think maby there's some magic way to have it all, comfort, stock sound and drive.
IMO Dynomax> any other brand muffler.
The flow CFM speaks for its self.

I love this muffler, have the same one. Plus a Magnaflow straight through being used as a pre-muffler. And a turbo. Makes for a nice and quiet exhaust but with a little rumble.
